The Star, Sydney Australia, celebrated one of its biggest New Year's Eve celebrations on record with more than 30,000 international and local guests visiting the property over the course of December 31 2013.
The Star attracted a pool of local and international celebrities who chose to celebrate New Year's Eve at The Star; including one of Australia's greatest international sporting icons, Tim Cahill, along with Sony music artists, Samantha Jade, Justice Crew, Dami Im and DNA as well as Ricki-Lee Coulter, Sally Obermeder, Richard Wilkins and a host of friends.
1000 VIP guests attended a masquerade ball at The Star Event Centre and dined on crayfish, salmon, prawns and wagyu beef rolls along with a live performance from Dami Im performing her No. 1 hit single, Alive. The Sky Terrace rooftop bar offered a birds-eye view of the world-reknowned Sydney Harbour fireworks display.
The Star's signature dining restaurants BLACK by Ezard, Balla and Sokyo served two dinner sittings - with live entertainment, special set menu options and impressive harbour views. Momofuku and The Century rained with guests while Luke Nguyen's Fat Noodle, located on the main floor of the casino, was unstoppable and still serving steaming noodle pots until close to sunrise.
Rock Lily, The Star's purpose-built live music venue rocked until late with performances from local Sydney band Black Diamond Hearts and back to back DJ sets from DJ Urby and Moody.
Cherry, The Star's glamorous cocktail bar with stunning harbour views entertained guests with canapés and live sets from Franklin Furter, Mo'funk, Tikki Tembo, along with a front row view of the fireworks while the 24/7 Sports bar were entertained by Jack Prest and Jamie Lindsay with $5 Peronis until midnight!
The famous Marquee nightclub, home of A-list musicians and celebrity talent was a powerhouse of activity with the notorious international party boy Ray J, along with Grammy-nominated US DJ Morgan Page and Australia's own #1 DJ duo Stafford Brothers who put on a massive welcome to 2014.
