Celebrating a Summer of Culture in Monaco: Monaco's First Ever Streaming Festival, and 60th Television Festival to Take Place This Summer
June 2021...// Monaco is set to be a thriving cultural destination this Summer with an array of festivals that celebrate talent and content on both the big screen and the small screen. During June and July, Monaco will host the 60th Monte-Carlo Television Festival, and the first ever Monaco Streaming Festival, showcasing not only Monaco as a centrepoint of arts and culture, but as an innovative destination celebrating the future of entertainment and technology and embracing new and exciting forms of art and culture.
The Monte-Carlo Television Festival celebrates its 60th Anniversary this month, between the 18th – 22nd June in the Grimaldi Forum. The past 60 years have seen monumental change in the range and styles of the programmes we as viewers have immersed ourselves in: taking inspiration from an array of cultures and history, we have diversified our screens. The festival attracts notable stars from around the world each year, with attendees over the years ranging from Anthony Burgess to Roger Moore, Kim Kardashian to Helen Mirren.
This year, the festival celebrates its 60th year anniversary, and while the festival will look forward to technological innovations and the ongoing development of the small screen, it will also remain true to its roots, centering around the prestigious Golden Nymph Awards, which recognise and reward the best in the business. Some of this years' jury members who will decide the winners of the Golden Nymphs include; French actor Arnaud Ducret and Joey Starr, German producer Moritz Polter, British screenwriter and director Kay Mellor and Norwegian producer Anders Tangen. This will be all overseen by the Fiction Jury President, Swedish writer, director and producer Måns Mårlind.

Only a few weeks later, Monaco will present its first ever Monaco Streaming Film Festival which will take place between the 3rd – 6th July, at the Grimaldi Forum. The first of its kind, the festival will stream everything worldwide, making it accessible to the wider public. Netflix Founding VP Mitch Lowe is a festival Co-Founder and Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak will be a keynote speaker, in an experience that aims to both celebrate the streaming industry's content, makers, creators and talent, and leverage streaming technology to power the festival.
Industry leaders and talent will descend on Monaco to participate, and the festival will extend beyond Monaco's borders, opening its doors to a global audience via the live streaming platform, featuring virtual-only content and panels with personalities participating remotely.
