Celebrate Summer With A Luxury Break In The Peak District

The Cavendish Hotel

LUXURY BREAK AT HISTORIC CAVENDISH HOTEL

CELEBRATING SUMMER IN THE PEAK DISTRICT

The Cavendish Hotel at Baslow set on the Chatsworth Estate is celebrating the lovely English summer with a special two nights break including dinner and Champagne for two for £545; a saving of £177.

The ultimate in luxury, laziness and romance, your two-night package offers Laurent Perrier Champagne and chocolates on arrival; two nights' accommodation for two with country breakfast each morning and a delicious three course dinner – one evening in the Garden Room and one evening in the candlelit Gallery Restaurant.  Your break also includes tickets to visit Chatsworth – just a 20 minutes stroll across the fields, or 2 minutes by car.

No-one is quite sure when The Cavendish Hotel was first built but it was the Peacock under the ownership of the Duke of Rutland until it came into the estate of the Duke of Devonshire in 1830. When the building was restored in the 1970s under the supervision of the Duchess of Devonshire (today the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire), it was renamed The Cavendish after the Duke and Duchess's family name.  Exuding a quiet elegance and with an extensive collection of original artwork and antiques it offers distinctive and stylish comfort.  Added to which are the lovely countryside views, from all the ground floor rooms and bedrooms, stretching out over the estate's pastureland with just the sounds of birdsong to fill the air - sheer bliss.

The historic 24 bedroom 4 star hotel provides 2 AA rosette dining both in the Gallery restaurant and the 'open all day' Garden room.  A newly extended south facing terrace, with those lovely views, is the perfect place to while away an hour or two with a glass of Champagne or Pimm's...

As well as enjoying the delights of the Cavendish Hotel and Chatsworth there are countless other reasons to visit this glorious corner of England and to discover why the Peak District National Park is so popular, whatever time of year.
