Celebrate the festive season in style and luxury with a cosy Christmas and sparkling Hogmanay on The Isle of Eriska, a private island off the west coast of Scotland. Eriska has five days of Christmas festivities planned from 23rd to 27th December and six days of New Year celebrations from 29th December to 3rd January 2017. These special seasonal getaways are filled with plenty of time to relax on the estate, as well as organised activities to dip into, including open golf competitions; Christmas services at the local church; a black tie Christmas dinner; the annual Eriska treasure hunt; and a traditional Highland Games. Guests may want to kick back and enjoy the fresh air on the beach, pampering in the Spa and indulging in Michelin-star cuisine or for the braver, maybe a New Year dip in the sea?
Guests are welcomed all year round at Eriska as part of the family and Christmas is no exception. Christmas Day on the island begins with a relaxed champagne breakfast; followed by light lunch; and an optional carol service at the local church, with the day topped off with a black tie Christmas dinner in the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant.
Hogmanay celebrations include the 'Eriska Treasure Hunt' around the island and a traditional Scottish Hogmanay dinner; before welcoming in the New Year with a firework display over the sea. New Years commences in true Scottish style with dinner and a dance with Paddy Shaw and his Scottish County Dance Band.
The island is home to wild otters, red deer and golden eagles; ideal for nature lovers to wrap up warm this winter and go wildlife spotting along the beautiful untouched beach. Eriska is also dog-friendly and encourages guests to make the most of the Christmas break alongside man's best friend.
The Isle of Eriska has specifically designed walking trails for a New Years Day stroll. Blow away the cobwebs and then retreat to the warmth of the thermal suite at The Stables Spa. With ESPA and 100% organic Ishga treatments to indulge in, guests can experience ultimate relaxation this Christmas.
The five day and four night Christmas celebrations starts from £1008 per person, based on two people sharing.
The six day and five night Hogmanay celebrations starts from £1222 per person, based on two people sharing.
