Celebrate Spring In Style At Lomond & Clyde Springfest

VisitScotland

The elegant seaside town of Helensburgh is the place to celebrate Spring in Scotland.

The town is the main centre for the Lomond & Clyde Springfest taking place this year from 28 April to 4 May. Helensburgh becomes a riot of colour during this unique annual festival which blends gardening, music, art, walks, and family fun, and brings a wee touch of Japanese culture to Scotland!

The inspiration for the festival comes from the abundance of flowering cherry trees which line the streets of Helensburgh during Spring, prompting the event organisers to follow the Hanami tradition in Japan, which sees thousands of people turn out each spring to party and picnic amongst the blossom.

This year, the festival consists of more than 60 events, including live music, garden tours, guided strolls or more challenging hillwalks, art and photographic exhibitions and workshops, musical concerts, farmers markets, crazy bikes, puppet shows and much, much more.
