Banff & Lake Louise Tourism

Embrace your inner child and remember the magic of a snow day with SnowDays, a winter celebration in Banff and Lake Louise, taking place Jan. 15-26, 2020.

SNOW AND ICE SCULPTURES
Across Banff and Lake Louise, giant sculptures made of snow and ice are displayed amongst the area's mountain backdrop.

In Banff, you'll find giant snow sculptures displayed throughout the town, with a competition taking place on Bear Street January 16-18. View the exhibition until Jan. 26.

On the shore of Lake Louise, an international ice carving competition takes place on January 15-17. View the exhibition until the sculptures melt.

TRIBUTE TO CRAFT SPIRITS
Experience special craft spirit tasting menus in restaurants across Banff and Lake Louise or participate in the outdoor celebration on Bear Street in Banff, featuring music, food, and craft spirits tasting as part of Tribute to Craft Spirits.

PLAY ZONE
Have some snowy fun at the central SnowDays Play Zone with a skating rink, DJ skate parties, snow features and a variety of family friendly activities including trying out fat biking and skiing, right in the middle of Banff. New this year, Barbegazi will be a part of the Play Zone over both weekends of SnowDays.

COMMUNITY RACES AND SKIJORING

Join in our community celebration of mountain culture as we close down Banff Avenue on Sunday, January 19 for a fun-filled day of entertaining novelty races and skijoring.
