Travel back in time to the Roaring Twenties as Blenheim Palace invites Mothers and Grandmothers to a magnificent party this Mothering Sunday, 22 March.

Make Mother's Day with a tour of the new Let's Misbehave Exhibition and themed Afternoon Tea. 'Let's Misbehave – Blenheim Palace in the 1920s' is a fascinating insight into the heady world of the upper classes in a time of great social, artistic and political change. 

The 9th Duke of Marlborough and his second wife, American intellectual, Gladys Deacon, were lavish hosts at the baroque Oxfordshire Palace. Their numerous house parties were attended by family and friends as diverse as writer and Bloomsbury Group founder member, Lytton Strachey and Sir Winston Churchill. 

The exhibition showcases the Marlborough's lavish lifestyle in a series of tableaux within the Palace's elegant State Rooms. 

Featuring works by artists and sculptors as eclectic as Boldini, Cecil Beaton, Jacob Epstein and Duncan Grant, visitors can see how the upper classes amused themselves on these occasions, as well as what they ate, how they dressed and what they talked about. 

Join the party this Mother's Day to explore the Exhibition, learn to dance the Charleston and finish the day with a delicious 'Let's Misbehave Afternoon Tea'.

The themed afternoon tea is a culinary taste of the decadent decade. Enjoy Finger Sandwiches and Scones as well as individual patisserie such as Pineapple Upside-Down & Lime Financier, Rhubarb & Custard Delice, Rose & White Chocolate Pistachio Macaron, Apple & Gin Jelly and Black Forest Tart. 

Finish off the day with a look around the East Courtyard Gift Shop which has a special Mother's Day range and 1920's collection perfect for a treat to end the day out.
