Two of InterContinental Hong Kong's celebrated restaurants are celebrating “Le French GourMay”. From May 1-31, the 1-Michelin star SPOON by Alain Ducasse presents an 8-course set menu showcasing Executive Chef Stéphane Gortina's contemporary French dishes incorporating ingredients from the Mid-Pyrénées. From May 10-30, the popular Harbourside Dinner Buffet will showcase speciality foie gras dishes by French Guest Chef Lionel Hunckler.
SPOON by Alain Ducasse “Le French GourMay Menu”

Executive Chef Stéphane Gortina is preparing an 8-course tasting menu showcasing SPOON speciality dishes along with dishes made with ingredients from the Mid-Pyrénées, the showcased region for Le French GourMay 2015. The menu includes:
- Chilled Coco Bean soup
- Duck foie gras from the Landes region, with cherry marmalade and toasted brioche
- Cookpot of soft wheat, shaved young vegetables
- Meagre from the Gascogne Gulf, girolle mushrooms and potatoes
Roasted rack and fillet of lamb from the Pyrénées region, spring vegetables - Ossau Iraty cheese and crushed condiments
- 'Gariguette' strawberries, warm jus
- Baba with Armagnac, lightly whipped Chantilly
The menu is HK$1,688 per person, with a wine pairing option for an additional HK$1,288 per person (plus 10% service charge). (Please note that this menu will not be available on Mother's Day, May 10).

Speciality Foie Gras Dishes at the Harbourside Dinner Buffet
May 10-30
French Guest Chef Lionel Hunckler will be at Harbourside from May 10-15 to showcase specialty Foie Gras dishes at a live action station at the Harbourside's Dinner Buffet. The Foie Gras “French GourMay” Promotion, which will also include a selection of French meat terrines & cheeses, will continue through May 30.
Enjoy a rotating selection of dishes such as Pan-fried duck foie gras with ceps crème soup,
Pan-fried duck foie gras with mango chutney, Pan-fried duck foie gras and gambas flambé with Cognac and Pan-fried duck foie gras with sautéed vegetables and soy sauce. Chef Lionel Hunckler will also present specialty desserts including Creme brulée with duck foie gras and Duck foie gras ice cream with Speculoos.
Guest Chef Lionel Hunckler, who is the Research and Development Chef for Feyel-Artzner Foie Gras, has worked at numerous Michelin star restaurants in his native France including the 2-star Le Cheval Blanc in Lembach, the 1-star Le Rosenmeer in Rosheim, the 3-star Le Buerehiesel in Strasbourg and the 3-star l'Arnsbourg in Baerentha. He has also worked as Sous Chef at Le Panier du Marché in Strasbourg.
