As well as showcasing beautifully produced documentaries and films, the festival offers photography exhibitions and musical performances.  International Kite Festival (10-13 November)
The International Kite Festival takes place at Playa del Burro in the beautiful Dunes de Corralejo Natural Park. During the festival, kite lovers from all over the world have the chance to share their knowledge and showcase their kites, with the highlight being a colourful display of around 700 kites that decorate the blue Corralejo skies. This is a perfect festival to enjoy as a family, or as a couple, with activities for all ages such as workshops and displays of acrobatic kites.

Three Kings Day (5 January)
The main day of Christmas for Spanish children is not 25 December, but on the night of 5 January, and this is when they receive their presents. In Fuerteventura, crowds of people gather in Corralejo´s harbour, awaiting the arrival of the Three Kings who brought gifts to Jesus when he was born and now bring presents for the children of Spain. The Three Kings arrive by sea and then ride by camel in a procession through the streets of Puerto del Rosario, followed by floats loaded with gifts for the local children. It is a heart-warming family celebration and fascinating for those visiting from outside Spain.

 International Music Festival of the Canary Islands (7 January – 5 February)
Now in its 33rd year, this renowned classical music festival brings together over 600 musicians from around the world from 20 symphonic and chamber orchestras, with nearly 80 concerts taking place across the seven Canary Islands. A number of these will be held at venues in Fuerteventura including performances from The Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra.  Watch the night sky in Fuerteventura (Weekly) Fuerteventura has amazing astronomical opportunities to offer including stargazing, night photography and astronomy courses. Every Tuesday, in a secret location in the Dunes of Corralejo, near the Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahía Real, guests can lie back and enjoy the sound of the ocean alongside the beauty of our universe with 'Stars by Night'.
