Summer 2016 is an auspicious time for football fans – not only will the 15th UEFA European Championship be taking place from 10 June and until 10 July, but Saturday 30 July sees the 50th anniversary of England's outstanding 1966 World Cup victory.
Evan Evans (www.evanevanstours.com), London's largest sightseeing company, which specialises in city tours and out-of-town excursions, has introduced an all NEW Football Stadium & Historic London Pubs tour, which is the perfect celebration of all things football. Highlights include a guided tour of Emirates Stadium, home to Arsenal FC, where guests can take a seat in the changing room, walk down the tunnel, sit in the dugout and imagine the roar of 60,000 fans. There is also an opportunity to visit the Stadium's unique museum which is packed with football memorabilia.
No football victory would be complete without a tipple or two, so the trip concludes with an insider's tour through the backstreets of London to discover three of the oldest pubs in London (between them they have survived the Great Fire of London, Second World War bombs and post modernisation), where guests will learn all about the brewing process and have the chance to sample some beers.
The tour costs £55 per adult*, and runs from 3pm-10pm, with departures from 19 May to 29 September. First class luxury motor coach travel and the services of a professional Tour Guide are included.
