After striking gold at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, Cascais also shone out at the ART&TUR International Tourism Cinema Festival, which was held in Ourém (Portugal).
For the second year running, Cascais won the Tourism Destination Category – Cities award. This year the winning entry was the video launched as part of the campaign aimed at attracting digital nomads, which was released in April, in partnership with DNA Cascais, made Cascais win 2 awards at the Festival that announced the best videos, national and international in Tourism.
The president of Cascais Tourism Board, Bernardo Corrêa de Barros, highlights the significance of yet another prize, claiming that “Cascais is, itself, the perfect storyline for any film. To receive international recognition at a variety of festivals, and to be chosen from among so many destinations, is a clear recognition of the value of our work, and a fundamental indicator of the success of our communication strategy.”
The film itself, which adopts a humorous tone, shows a sunny Cascais in contrast to a rainy London, inviting remote workers from all over the world to visit Cascais and experience a true “workation” (work + vacation) in a destination which many people visit “for a day, but end up staying in for a lifetime”.
