Visitors to the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), held in Perth in 2019, are being treated to some of the Canberra region's best food and beverages.
Kicking off every morning from 8am and running through to 4pm, Canberra's award winning ONA Coffee will be brewing up coffees for attendees. Alongside delicious coffee and a string of popular cafes, ONA Coffee has produced the first, second, fourth and sixth placeholders at 2019's Australian Coffee Championships, following in the footsteps of their founder Sasa Sestic, 2015 World Barista Champion. Choosing to perfect the art in Canberra, ONA Coffee continues in its pursuit of creating the best coffee in the world. Their pop-up in VisitCanberra's stand has developed somewhat of a cult following over past ATE's, with ONA's charismatic baristas bringing smiles to many visitor's mornings.
On Thursday 11 April from 5.15pm, VisitCanberra will be putting the 'happy' into 'Happy Hour' with South Coast oysters perfectly accompanied with gin and tonics. The oysters come freshly shucked from Captain Sponge's Magical Oyster Tours – world renowned Pambula Lake Sydney Rock oysters come as fresh can be, straight from the waters of the lake.
Gin and tonics will be provided by Underground Spirits, distilled proudly in Canberra. Underground Spirits use fresh spring water from the Brindabella Mountains, a smattering of native and local botanicals from Canberra and a whole heap of dedication.
VisitCanberra is proud to showcase the region's diverse and strong food and beverage offering at this year's ATE.
