Canada Call-Out for 2022/23 Ski Season Workers

Destination Canada

The Canadian Ski Council and the Canada West Ski Areas Association is calling out for young Australian travellers to come to Canada and work during the 2022/23 winter season, with various roles available, from ski professionals and hospitality, to retail and housekeeping.

Canada's winter has always been a major drawcard for Australians looking to live and work overseas, and in the wake of the global pandemic, resorts and ski operators throughout Canada are encouraging Aussie youth to swap their daily commute for a pair of skis or snowboard on a work-play adventure.

Working at Canada's ski fields for the season offers adventure, plenty of perks, lifelong friendships and the opportunity to be part of a quintessential Canadian experience. Whether you're on the front line at a hotel, rental shop or restaurant, on the slopes as an instructor, patrol, lift operator or groomer, or behind the scenes in administration, there are hundreds of opportunities available at ski areas across Canada.

International Experience Canada (IEC) gives youth the opportunity to travel and work in Canada for up to 2 years (depending on country of citizenship). Many will choose an IEC Working Holiday for their ski adventure. To apply, visit: canada.ca/iec

Australians can apply at a Canadian ski field today - where the line between work and play is a chairlift ride away. Check out these sites for job opportunities:

This includes the mandatory use of the ArriveCAN app. For the latest information on travel to Canada please visit the Government of Canada website.
