AIC supports AEC integration with key learnings aimed at raising local hospitality standards

Siem Reap, CAMBODIA, February 2016 – Asia Initiative Corporation (AIC), Cambodia's leading domestic hotels & resorts management company, is hosting a half-day international workshop on marketing in Siem Reap next month with 50 delegates drawn from local hotel owners and operators, e-commerce, local tourism operators as well as investors and developers.

Delegates will gain insights into the latest technologies being used by global hotels as well as marketing and promotional tools that improve standards and boost productivity.  Topics include hotel & resort management, hotel pre-opening & consultancy marketing communications and international public relations, digital marketing, social media and the future of business technology.

Keynote speakers include Grahame Cox and John Savage from international business advisers Savage Communications.  Other speakers include Saron Khan, AIC co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing, and marketing specialist Heng Sophea from the Phnom Penh Post.

The international workshop is the first in a series AIC is hosting to assist the Cambodia hospitality sector pursue business growth in support of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) integration.

The AEC blueprint creates a single market and production base within the 10 ASEAN member nations. With it comes the free movement of goods and services enabling Cambodian hotels and resorts to export their expertise throughout Southeast Asia, and improve the local tourism product.

Employing 260 people, AIC has grown from one hotel to five and project managed the opening of four additional properties since operations began in 2013.
