Dine Out Lauderdale, a six-week culinary event showcasing Greater Fort Lauderdale's gourmet restaurants and renowned chefs, returns for its ninth consecutive year this September.
From September 1st to October 12th 2015, visitors can take their taste buds on tour in “Greater Fork Lauderdale”. Participating restaurants will offer diners specially created three-course meals for a $35 (approximately £22) prix fixe.
With over 35 restaurants taking part, visitors can enjoy a range of gastronomic delights from farm to table selections, fresh catch of the day, American comfort food, Asian fusion, hearty Italian, Mediterranean and top steakhouses. Many of the Dine Out Lauderdale options also come with waterfront views.
This year's Dine Out Lauderdale roster features notable newcomers including: American Vintage at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, featuring traditional American cuisine in a classic steakhouse setting, Shooters Waterfront offering seafood and Intracoastal views, Italian newcomer Scolapasta, and the beachfront hotspot S3 along with its buzzy Las Olas sister, YOLO. Further afield, new Dine Out Lauderdale participants include Chanson Restaurant at Deerfield Beach's Royal Blues Hotel, where diners can enjoy an inventive “Cuisine Du Monde” menu and a stunning saltwater aquarium mounted in the ceiling and in Hallandale Beach, Adena Grill, a farm-to-table steakhouse serving grass-fed beef.

With more than 4,000 restaurants ranging from waterfront dining spots, to ethnic eateries and top-notch steakhouses, Greater Fort Lauderdale is quickly gaining status as a foodie hot spot. Whether spicing it up “Floribbean” style at chic downtown eateries or motoring a yacht en route to a fresh seafood feast during a “dock and dine” experience, there is something to satisfy every culinary craving.
Dining in Greater Fort Lauderdale is just the entrée to a grand evening. Diners can top off their night with a barefoot walk along the beach or take an under the stars water taxi ride to Las Olas Boulevard – home to art galleries, fashion boutiques and great nightlife. Visitors looking for a little more action can paint the town red with a concert, salsa dancing or try their luck at the slots at a nearby casino.
Greater Fort Lauderdale, often known as the 'Venice of America', may have 23 miles of Blue Wave Beaches, over 300 miles of inland waterways and a thriving arts and culture scene but the region's real appeal this autumn will be to visitor's stomachs.
