BUSINESS CLASS AIR FARES AT FIVE YEAR LOW FROM FLIGHT CENTRE UK
Business class flights on average 20% cheaper than in 2011
17 May 2016 – Flying business class need no longer be the reserve of just the rich and famous, as business class prices at Flight Centre UK have dipped to a five year low. The best fares currently available to Flight Centre's top long-haul destinations, including Dubai, New York and Sydney, are on average 20% cheaper in May this year, compared to average prices in the same period in 2011. There has never been a better time to indulge in a flight upgrade to a far flung destination.
Whether heading west to the USA or east to Asia and beyond, Flight Centre currently offers a number of business class promotional offers, meaning some flights are more than 50% cheaper than average prices in May 2011. During the next few weeks it will be possible to purchase a return business class fare to Dubai from just £999 (£2,081 May 2011), Singapore from £1,414 (£2,948 May 2011) New York from £1,496 (£2,545 May 2011), Sydney from £1,999 (£3,607 May 2011), and Los Angeles from £2,189 (£3,437 May 2011), including taxes.
Alison Zacher, Retail Managing Director, Flight Centre UK commented: “The deals currently on offer are truly amazing. Booking a business class flight is a great way to add a special extra touch to a 2016 holiday. We're dedicated to offering consumers unbeatable prices and, thanks to a range of market conditions, our top long-haul destinations are now even cheaper.”
A number of industry variables have resulted in Flight Centre's reduced prices. Larger aircraft, such as the A380, have been introduced, new routes have been launched and flight frequency has increased, all adding to the number of long-haul seats available. In addition to this, fuel prices are also at a generational low.
May and June traditionally have highly competitive fares and this year the upcoming EU referendum and Euro 2016 are thought to have increased the competition between airlines.
On average, 2016 is shaping up to be one of the cheapest periods of time, in the last five years, to book a business class flight. Great news for British consumers.
