Busch Gardens Williamsburg Awarded Most Beautiful For 14 Years

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

More than 300 hanging baskets, 700 container gardens, 200 perennials, 30,000 plus annuals and 100-action packed acres of beautiful Virginia countryside lay the foundation for the worlds Most Beautiful Theme Park. Busch Gardens Williamsburg has been named the winner of this prestigious award from the National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA) for the 14th consecutive year. Each area of the park is carefully themed using different colors and types of plants, trees and flowers. In addition to the hours spent in the park pruning, planting and pulling weeds, the landscaping staff tends to more than 30,000 plants grown in the on-site greenhouse. The European-themed park unites the beautiful scenery with thrill rides and world-class entertainment. The celebrated award is the result of this years survey conducted by NAPHA members. Founded in 1978, NAPHA is an international, educational and enthusiasts organization dedicated to the preservation, documentation and enjoyment of the amusement park industry. We strive to produce a quality product and carry that into everything we do. Its wonderful to have our hard work recognized, said Donnie Mills, executive vice president and general manager for Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. The landscaping team is phenomenal and Im always impressed by the beautiful atmosphere they create for our guests, added Mills.
