Boot camps are all very well but the canny folk at the Budock Vean on Cornwall’s Helford River know there must be reward to follow all those burpees and squats in the great outdoors.
Cue their first ever Primal Pamper Day – a serious workout with trainer Alex Lloyd of Primal Fitness in the hotel’s 65 acres of sub-tropical gardens and grounds which run down to the Helford River – followed by a restorative back or head massage in the Natural Health Spa and a chance to lounge around the pool and hot-tub for the rest of the day.
Add in a delicious lunch on the terrace with PFR options (Primal Fitness Recommends!) and you have £49 for the whole day very well spent.
“This day is a great combination of hard work in beautiful surroundings followed by an all-round treat for the body and the mind,” says the Budock Vean’s owner Martin Barlow. “We’ve heard the theories about ‘no pain, no gain’ and ‘feel the burn’, but it’s always good to have some treats in the quest to get fit!”
