Burma - Journey through the Golden Land - 15 Day Escorted Group Tour

Undiscovered Destinations is delighted to announce a new tour in Burma.

For the first time in centuries it is possible to cross the border between Burma and Thailand overland and Undiscovered Destinations is leading the way. Clients of the pioneering group tour operator can be one of the first to travel this unique route crossing the Htee Khee border to Dawei which connects the more remote areas of Mon State and Kayin State.

Jim Louth, Founder of Undiscovered Destinations said 'We have been selling tours in Burma for a long time and our clients have asked to see more of this beautiful country. This new tour takes travellers to more undiscovered areas of the country, offering spectacular scenery and intriguing tribal culture that dates back for centuries'.

'We are constantly trying to find new and exciting areas to visit and going overland from Thailand to Burma is a great new addition to our range of tours'.

With the first scheduled departure in November 2016, followed by two more in 2017, places are very limited as Undiscovered Destinations limits the number of people allowed on to each tour to just twelve.

As Jim Louth continued 'Responsible tourism is extremely important to us. We have to respect the people and the cultures that we visit, not just here in Burma but wherever we travel. That is why Undiscovered Destinations tours are limited to just twelve people. Our aim is to create as little an impact as possible when we travel'.

On the 15 day 'Journey through the Golden Land' tour travellers stay in small local guesthouses and hotels. The tour is fully escorted with local guides and starts from £2,395 per person excluding flights.
