New at Westfield San Francisco Centre:

Luxury Retailers and a High-Profile Addition to the Restaurant Collection Under the Dome 

 

San Francisco, California – Westfield San Francisco Centre, the city’s premier destination for fashion, entertainment, and dining, is ushering in 2013 with a host of new culinary and retail offerings to further elevate its world-class collection of over 200 boutiques and restaurants.

 

 “We are thrilled to bring new luxury retail and culinary offerings to shoppers for 2013,” said Shelly Schembre, vice president and senior general manager of Westfield San Francisco Centre. “Our unique and growing collection of top-name retailers and restaurants make the Centre the Bay Area’s most dynamic, delicious and exciting shopping destination.”

 

Among the offerings that debuted before the holidays are British casual sportswear retailer Burberry Brit, the original creations of REDValentino, Italian fashion house Gucci, celebrity chef Martin Yan’s M.Y. China, Godiva Truffle Bar and more.

 

Now Open

Burberry Brit, the eponymous British retailer’s casual sportswear concept recently opened a standalone 2,500-square-foot store selling apparel, handbags and shoes on Level 1. The young and effortless Burberry Brit label features iconic check shirts, directional denim and heritage-inspired coats.

 

REDValentino’s 950-square-foot store on Level 1 opened in mid-December.  A modern fairytale made up of original creations and elegant details, REDValentino takes the timeless elegance of Valentino Prêt a Porter and infuses it with playful, contemporary elements. The resulting collections showcase modern classics that symbolize glamour, romance and chic whimsy.

 

Camper, the Spanish footwear brand dedicated to the core qualities of simplicity, comfort, sincerity and style, opened a 700-square-foot store on Level 2 in December.

 

Shoppers are also able to browse a larger selection at Express, which unveiled a 15,600-square-foot duplex (on Level 2 and 3) featuring men’s collections in addition to women’s wear.

San Francisco-based Pacific Puffs, a dessert shop offering premium, home-baked style cream puffs made with fresh local ingredients, opened a 700-square-foot store in December on the Concourse Level near the BART entrance.

To the delight of fashionistas everywhere, the Italian fashion house Gucci is now open within Bloomingdale’s on Level 1. The Gucci shop features leather goods, jewelry, and accessories.

 

Victoria’s Secret, the popular destination for women’s lingerie, sultry swimwear, and beauty products, expanded its store to 10,800 square feet on Level 3. The additional space includes a dedicated Victoria’s Secret PINK boutique, the brand’s fun and flirty collegiate line of lingerie, apparel and lifestyle goods. 

Chocolate lovers rejoiced with the opening of the world’s first Godiva Truffle Bar this past November in the Food Emporium on the Concourse Level. These legendary European classics are blends of butter, cream, and sweet chocolate, creating a delightful sensation that melts away into pure bliss. The truffle bar kiosk complements the existing Godiva Chocolatier boutique on Level 1, which offers a comprehensive selection of super-premium chocolates.

Tea lovers are enjoying David’s Tea, which opened in late 2012 on the Concourse Level. Offering a wide selection of loose-leaf teas and ingredients from around the world, the store carries a wide range of accessories and gift sets.

 

Restaurant Collection Under the Dome

 

December marked the opening of the much-anticipated M.Y. China by celebrity chef Martin Yan featuring authentic modern Chinese cuisine. Those seeking upscale Asian fare will enjoy delicate hand-folded dumplings, dim sum, hand-pulled la mein noodles, and wok dishes. M.Y. China is part of the Restaurant Collection Under the Dome on Level 4.

 

San Francisco’s popular neighborhood bakery and café La Boulange du Dome is open on Level 4 directly under the Centre’s signature 102-foot wide glass dome. Diners can enjoy a menu of traditional pastries, homemade breads, mini tea sandwiches, salads, desserts, organic coffee, and local wines.

 

Other Recent Openings

 

The fall brought Tiffany & Co.’s signature “little blue boxes” to Westfield San Francisco Centre. The world-renowned jeweler and diamond authority opened a 3,500-square-foot store on Level 1 next to Bloomingdale’s.

 

In September 2012, Nordstrom debuted the Bay Area’s first Topshop, the wildly popular British fashion brand, with a 2,500-square-foot shop-in-shop. A favorite of starlets and style mavens alike, Topshop is known for its fast-fashion clothing made by young designers who incorporate runway trends and street fashion into their pieces. Along with a full selection of styles from Topshop, the Westfield San Francisco Centre location also sells limited-edition pieces created especially for Nordstrom.

 

The fall also brought menswear retailer Onassis Clothing to the Centre. The brainchild between two design studios, one in New York and one in Tokyo, Onassis Clothing champions American-inspired styles rooted in European styling and fit, uniquely handcrafted with Japanese techniques. Modern, classic pieces meet approachable prices, while the unique in-store experience includes a coffee bar for shoppers. Located next to Bloomingdale’s on Level 2, the new 2,500-square-foot Westfield San Francisco Centre store is the brand’s third location and its first outside of New York.

 

Shopping & Dining at Westfield San Francisco Centre - San Francisco’s go-to destination for the latest styles and trends, Westfield San Francisco Centre makes shopping easy and enjoyable with Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and a fashionable range of over 200 high-end boutiques including Tiffany & Co., Burberry Brit, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Tory Burch, Calvin Klein, Kate Spade, Kenneth Cole, Karen Millen, Francesca’s Collection, Henri Hubert and Vera Bradley.

 

After a day of shopping, visitors can cap off their experience with an exquisite meal from The Restaurant Collection Under the Dome. Guests can dine within the handsome décor of LarkCreekSteak, savor the Pan-Asian dishes of Straits Restaurant, celebrate the flavors of Italy at Cupola Pizzeria, enjoy delectable dumplings or hand pulled noodles from M.Y. China or feast on decadent dessert at La Boulange du Dome.

 

Tourism Programs - Visitors always appreciate exclusive amenities as well, including Westfield San Francisco Centre’s VIP Passport to Savings program, which entitles travelers to hundreds of dollars in savings, special offers and services provided by dozens of participating shops and restaurants.  Vouchers are available at most area hotels, visitor centers, or from tour operators and travel agents. Vouchers can be presented at the Concierge Desk, along with an out of town driver’s license or passport, to receive a VIP Passport. Convention visitors can show their convention badge and for visitors who are AAA Show Your Card & Save members or are Visa Signature cardholders, they simply present their card at the Concierge to receive their VIP Passport.

 

Combining group programs with fashion, food and fun at Westfield San Francisco Centre is a unique and entertaining option to traditional meeting rooms and programs. A motor coach loading zone offers curbside access to the Centre.  With advance notice, motor coach parking instructions are provided.

Transportation to Westfield San Francisco Centre - The Centre is located just 20 minutes from San Francisco International Airport and just a few blocks from the 101 and highway 80.  It’s easy for visitors to arrive at Westfield San Francisco Centre from anywhere in the City and the greater Bay Area. BART, MUNI, the Market Street historic trolleys, the Powell Street Cable Car, and the city’s largest parking garage at 5th and Mission all provide immediate access to Westfield San Francisco Centre.
