Ranked in order, here are five of the most popular destinations Brits will be flocking to during the bumper Easter break this year, as revealed by dealchecker:
- Puerto Pollensa, Majorca
- Bugibba, Malta
- Elounda, Crete

Rosie Panter, Head of Content at dealchecker, commented: “With Easter falling in late April this year, the first time since 2014, Brits can maximise their annual leave and also enjoy warmer climes. Even with the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, the top five searches for holidays over the Easter break were all much-loved European destinations.”
“Here we've outlined three of the most sought-after destinations to visit this spring, and what visitors can experience and enjoy while there…” Panter continued.
What to see and do in Greece, Malta and Spain this Easter
Puerto Pollensa, a small resort town in northern Majorca, holds an annual celebration during the Easter week that's worth observing. The renowned tradition sees events take place throughout the course of the long weekend, with processions including 'Crist de la Sang' on Maundy Thursday and 'Sant Enterrament' on Good Friday. During the festival, visitors can explore the narrow streets and sacred monuments, while experiencing the atmosphere of the ancient region.
Make your money last longer in Malta
Just a short 3.5-hour flight from the UK, Bugibba in Malta offers 5km of coastline to explore. Located in the centre of St Paul's Bay, Bugibba has countless water sport activities to be enjoyed. As well as soaking up the sun and losing yourself in a good book, discover Bugibba's centre square, which has countless alfresco bars and cafes, or the small and peaceful harbour.
Greek resorts for a great price
Crete, Greece's largest island, offers a wide range of all-inclusive resorts, many with sea views and access to secluded coves and beaches. April and May are two of the cheapest months to visit the Southern Greek islands, therefore, premium resorts are available at great shoulder-season costs, but still enjoy temperatures into the mid-20°C. Elounda in Crete is ideal for those looking to escape the long winter and relax on some of the Mediterranean's most beautiful beaches, which have even attracted the rich and famous, such as Brad Pitt.
