London Mayor Sadiq Khan has declared London's Autumn Season of Culture open. Now in its third year, the 2016 season coincides with some of the biggest expansions of major cultural venues seen in decades, as well as fantastic festivals, incredible new exhibitions and sparkling new theater. Located in the county of Yorkshire on the north-east coast of England, the city of Kingston upon Hull was founded in the 12th century, and since has been a market town, military supply port, trading hub, fishing and whaling center, and an industrial metropolis.
 
These days Hull boasts more contemporary achievements, including being awarded UK City of Culture for 2017. Visitors can expect to see a transformation of Hull's city center this year, with new public art installations and contemporary spaces, as well as the city's biggest Freedom Festival yet in September, offering a snapshot of what's to come for 2017's year-long celebration. Raise a glass to English sparkling wine

There's been a lot of fuss about English fizz in recent years and for good reason. Almost 200 new vineyards have opened in the UK over the past five years and a record harvest was reported in 2014. English vineyards are now being recognized on a global scale and 14 homegrown sparkling wines scooped gold medals at the prestigious International Wine Challenge in 2015.
