Showcases handprints and signatures of celebrities
visiting Sands China's integrated resort city
(Macao, April 10, 2013) - Cotai Strip Resorts is opening its Bridge of Stars Gallery Thursday at 5 pm, featuring the handprints and signatures of celebrities that have visited the integrated resort city since the launch of Stars of the Cotai Strip last November.
The ceremony will be hosted by superstar Shu Qi, and officiating guests include Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macau Government Tourist Office; Edward Tracy, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sands China Ltd. and David Sisk, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Sands China Ltd.
Sands China is offering the gallery as a new attraction for Macao locals and visitors, as a way to enhance the diversity of places tourists can visit, in addition to Macao's invaluable and one-of-a-kind cultural heritage sites.
The Stars of the Cotai Strip campaign, during which the handprints for the Bridge of Stars Gallery began to be collected, featured a number of exciting celebrity-filled events, including celebrity dining and shopping experiences and a New Year's countdown and concert. A thrilling Race with the Stars in February gave lucky visitors a chance to compete on celebrity-led teams for a chance at winning fabulous prizes.
Bringing events to Macao that feature some of the region's and the world's biggest names in film, television, music and sport is part of Sands China's strategy to diversify Macao tourism through an unbeatable entertainment offering, helping establish Cotai as a regional hub for entertainment, and Macao as a world centre of tourism and leisure.
