Renowned Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto will present a one-night-only private performance at MO Bar at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, on Thursday, 12th March 2015. In partnership with The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Quintessentially Lifestyle and White Cube gallery, guests can expect an evening of Brazilian brilliance. The exclusive musical event will coincide with the opening of Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes's exhibition at White Cube gallery, her first in Hong Kong.
“2015 marks the 10th anniversary of our award-winning property,” explains Torsten van Dullemen, General Manager of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. “Welcoming a world-class performer of Bebel Gilberto's calibre and prestige is the ideal way to start the year-long celebrations.”
Since the release of her breakthrough album Tanto Tempo in 2000, Grammy-nominated Bebel Gilberto has become one of Brazil's biggest-selling artists. Continuing the musical legacy of her father, iconic Brazilian singer João Gilberto, Bebel Gilberto introduced audiences to her unique blend of bossa nova beats and electronic dance rhythms. Throughout her stellar career she has earned a reputation as a dynamic live performer, earning legions of fans worldwide and gracing the stages of such famous venues as Carnegie Hall. Gilberto released her latest album, Tudo (Sony) in August 2014, which garnered rave reviews.
