Lonely Planet magazine have just released their annual Best in Travel List for 2014 and have nominated Brazil as the top country to travel to in 2014 and it coincides with the launch of a new family holiday by Bespoke Brazil.
Every year Lonely Planet, the leading go to name in travel, announce their Best in Travel List and it comes as no surprise that Brazil tops the pops for 2014. As the Lonely Planet writes on its website "As if endless strands of sun-toasted coast, mountains splashed with Crayola-green rainforest and some of the planet's most beautiful colonial villages didn't already add up to an unfair share of heaven, Brazil goes and snags two of the most coveted sporting events in the world, beginning with the 2014 FIFA World Cup and followed two years later by the 2016 Summer Olympics. Tack on a recession-dodging economy, and boom! Brazil is the belle of the ball. Be it trekking across towering windswept dunes peppered with cerulean lagoons in Lençóis Maranhenses, exploring gilded colonial churches in frozen-in-time cities such as Ouro Preto or swimming in aquarium-like rivers near Bonito, Brazil's diversity will leave you slack-jawed."
Bespoke Brazil, the specialist UK tour operator, creates tailor-made holidays to Brazil, allowing you to experience the best of Brazil, and has just released a new family holiday itinerary to Brazil.
Simon Williams, director at Bespoke Brazil, says, "It comes as no surprise that the Lonely Planet has nominated Brazil as the number one destination on the planet to visit for the forthcoming year. We would argue it should be every year! Brazil is such an incredibly diverse country and yet most people know very little beyond Rio de Janeiro and some stereotypes. It's a country which appeals to all with amazing beaches, colonial history, the best wildlife in South America, the best birdlife in the world, the mighty Amazon rainforest and river, incredible diving, vast national parks and not forgetting the most awesome waterfalls on the planet at Iguassu"
Bespoke Brazil has recently launched a new family holiday itinerary, a 10 day tailor-made tour to the Rio de Janeiro, The Amazon and colonial Paraty. This itinerary combines the stunning city of Rio de Janeiro where jeep tours through Tijuca Forest to the top of Corcovado will excite the children before you fly north to the Amazon where you will see the amazing natural spectacle of the Meeting of the Waters before spending 4 nights in a fabulous jungle lodge. Finish with 4 nights in colonial Paraty, set between Atlantic rainforest and the sea, with lot of activities on offer. Prices begin at £3680 per person although discounts will apply for children under 12 years old and include excellent accommodation, international and internal flights, transfers and tours using English speaking guides.
