Washington, DC — Brand USA, the destination organization for the United States, in partnership with TravMedia/TravTrade, the world's largest online news portal for the travel media and industry professionals, has launched an unparalleled online platform to facilitate industry engagement between U.S. exhibitors and international buyers at Brand USA Pavilions around the world.
The Brand USA Pavilion at international trade shows not only uniquely brands but also positions and promotes the U.S. as the world’s premier travel destination, while offering both destinations and suppliers cost-effective opportunities to interact personally with their primary buyers.
The new virtual trade show site provides a one-stop resource to access brochures, videos and press releases on travel product in the United States. The platform creates a paperless environment in this traditionally paper-intensive industry. As a result, the platform eliminates the need for buyers to collect printed information kits and brochures, and promotes easy sharing of information with other decision-makers.
Each exhibitor’s trade material will appear on the Brand USA Pavilions site and will be included in a daily email summary distributed to buyers and exhibitors leading up to and during a trade show.
The site features profiles of U.S. delegates attending the event, providing a business-to-business social network that allows buyers and sellers to connect and follow each other, extending the interactions that begin at the event and to continue long-term business relationships.
This innovative virtual tool is designed to increase the interactions between buyers and Brand USA exhibitors at global trade show pavilions year-round.
The Brand USA Pavilion Online Marketplace will be available at the following trade shows:
· ITB Berlin (Germany) – March 5-9, 2014: The world's leading travel trade show. Attendance: 110,000 (trade) + 60,000 (public) (2013).
· IMEX (Frankfurt, Germany) – May 20-22, 2014: IMEX is a worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events. In 2013, 3,500 exhibitors from 157 countries, and 4,000 hosted buyers from more than 75 world markets visited IMEX 2013.
· JATA (Tokyo, Japan) – September, 2014 (dates to be announced): The Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) Tourism and Travel Showcase is one of the biggest in Asia, featuring more than 1,000 booths representing more than 150 potential destinations.
