Brand New Tour Operator Launches Offering Personal Service Into Top Alpine Destinations

snow-wise

snow-wise is a brand new independent tour operator offering tailor-made ski holidays and short breaks to some of the finest hotels in the Alps. It was founded by Fraser Wilkin (Managing Director and owner of weathertoski.co.uk), who brings with him 20 years of ski industry experience both at the highest level of tour operation and as a specialist ski journalist. Fraser is joined by another highly experienced industry stalwart, Richard Visick, who takes on the role of Operations Director.

Between them, Fraser and Richard have visited every hotel in the programme and have strong personal relationships with most of the owners.

“Although snow-wise makes no bones about operating at the upper end of the market, it does not offer luxury for luxury’s sake” explains Fraser. “Each hotel must have something exceptional to offer - it might be the food, it might be the facilities, it might be the service. In many cases, it is all three.”

Whatever the case, the emphasis is on quality and flexibility. There are no set packages and no set rules.

snow-wise also offers an exciting range of resorts – not just the biggest names (like Val d’Isère, Verbier and Zermatt) but also a number of lesser known or less visited destinations that again offer something different. They may be exceptionally snowy, they may be exceptionally steep or they may just be exceptionally charming.

For example, snow-wise will be the first UK tour operator to feature Warth-Schröcken in the Austrian Vorarlberg. Not only does Warth-Schröcken boast the highest average snowfall of any ski resort in the Alps, it will also (as of 05 December 2013) link to world famous Lech, offering 190km of ultra-snow sure slopes and huge off-piste potential.

Other original and unique offerings include “guaranteed snow, guaranteed childcare” at the highly acclaimed family hotel Hintertuxerhof in Hintertux (Austria) - where you could even take in a few days skiing this Autumn half term - and flexible breaks in the über-chic design hotel Zhero in Kappl near Ischgl. snow-wise has also teamed up with leading backcountry and avalanche expert Henry Schniewind to offer specialist 3 day courses in Val d’Isère where you can perfect your powder turns while learning to manage the risks outside the safety of the pistes.

snow-wise offers ground-breaking customer service, with every client receiving the services of a dedicated account manager to handle every aspect of their booking – from first enquiry right through to the return from their holiday. They will also receive a personalised weather forecast from Fraser (acknowledged authority on weather and snow conditions in the Alps) the day before departure as well as on-going advice on conditions in resort before and during their stay.
