Brand New To The Market: A 1974 Horse Lorry Now A Unique Place To Stay

One Off Places

One Off Places is thrilled to announce the launch of The Horse Lorry, a newly converted 1974 Bedford TK Horse Lorry, now a unique and romantic place to stay, on a pretty Georgian farm on the Oxfordshire / Northamptonshire border.  The Horse Lorry was bought on Ebay, stripped out and fully glamped up in advance of its first guests in May 2013.

The lorry boasts a very comfortable king sized bed which is elevated above the cab so you can enjoy views over the fields. There is a dining area with table and chairs, a sofa bed and a log burning stove.  The bathroom facilities are a few metres away in a separate building.  Patio doors lead out to an area of decking from where you can sunbathe, have breakfast, and enjoy wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.

Tabitha Symonds, founder and director of oneoffplaces.co.uk, said of this brand new addition to the portfolio; `this lovingly renovated horse lorry provides comfort, character and natural charm in a relaxed rural setting. Come rain or shine, it’s a truly unique place to stay.`

For a small extra charge, a full English breakfast (including a choice of freshly laid duck or chicken eggs) is available for delivery to your lorry at a time of your choice. Should you wish to bring your family or friends a 5 metre bell tent can be provided, which sleeps a further 6 people (at an extra cost).

Just a 10 minute stroll across the fields you will find the local pub, The Three Conies, which provides delicious home cooked food every day. The surrounding area is full of picturesque countryside walks, scenic cycle routes and gastro pubs and nearby you will find plenty of museums along with a number of popular attractions.

From £100 per night / £500 per week
