One Off Places is thrilled to announce the launch of Tinhouse, a brand new and unique holiday cottage for two, located in an outstanding location overlooking the dramatic seascape of North West Skye. It opened for its first visitors at the end of 2016, after a five year design and build project.

Tinhouse overlooks The Minch, the body of water separating the Inner and Outer Hebrides. Outside the designer and architect have used timber and hand poured concrete surfaces, alongside timber walls, to create sheltered spaces from which to admire the exquisite view beyond. Inside, the furniture celebrates the handmade spirit of the house and includes a concrete topped dining table on Douglas Fir sawhorses and a prototype 'Mobius' coffee table.

One of the Scotland`s finest restaurants, The Three Chimneys , is just four miles away. Fresh seafood can be bought directly from the local fishermen who operate out of Meanish Pier, a short walk down the hill from TInhouse. For a car free day, there's plenty to do on foot. Amazing hill and coastal walks from the front door or enjoy a day exploring or fishing along the coast.
