Ever visited a historic site and thought to yourself; 'I wonder what it was really like to live here?' This summer, get a sneak peak as English Heritage offers 20% of all available holiday cottage stays, on arrivals up to the 30th August.
Places to stay included in this fantastic offer include East Lodge at Hardwick Old Hall, Derbyshire, a perfect break for families complete with a spectacular ruined hall to explore and an ideal location close to the Peak District. Couples looking for a romantic bolthole should look no further than Pendennis Castle's Custodian's House, with its historic surroundings and sweeping views over Falmouth Bay.
All English Heritage holiday cottages provide out-of-hours access to some of England's finest historic sites, offering the chance to roam the grounds and enjoy spectacular views when the crowds go home. Plus, the cottages have all been given a stylish, contemporary, 5-star makeover, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The offer applies to all available 3, 4 or 7 night stays from now until 16 August. Here are some examples of deals included:
- Enjoy a midweek family break at Mount Grace Priory, spotting nature and romantic ruins within the North York Moors National Park, for just £570, reduced from £713.
- Splash out on a romantic coastal weekend away at one of England's finest castles, with two-person cottages at Dover Castle and Pendennis Castle available for £585, down from £713.
