Book Now For Best Choice Of Winter Adventures, Advises Simply Sweden

Simply Sweden

Simply Sweden is advising travellers wishing to visit Scandinavia this winter to book their holidays now, before availability runs dry. The specialist tour operator says that while most of us are focusing on our summer breaks, savvy travellers will be securing their places on the best Arctic adventures.

“Our winter holidays start booking up fast at this time of year,” says Chris Graham of Simply Sweden. “Some of our trips have one, two or just a handful of departures because in such remote regions the availability of the best guides, accommodation, even flights, is extremely limited.

“For example, our 'Laponian Arctic Nights', a new remote wilderness escape deep inside Sweden's Sami territories, has just two departure dates, 27 January and 3 February. For trips like these, we've barely a place left by autumn. And it isn't as simple as putting on more holidays to meet demand – when hotels are full, they're full and when the best guides are booked, they're booked.

'Laponian Arctic Nights' – which ventures into what Unesco describes as one of the last untouched wilderness areas – is just one of the highlights of Simply Sweden's exciting winter schedule. Others include 'Magical Moments in Lapland', featuring some of the most innovative hotels in the region, and another new holiday for this winter 'The Iron Trail – Lapland', which follows the old iron ore trade route for a historic take on the area.

A mix of holidays focusing on aurora borealis, to suit different tastes, includes 'Lofoten Islands – Northern Lights', with a trip on the Hurtigruten Coastal Steamer, 'Icehotel & Northern Lights Cabins', offering the chance to observe aurora borealis from some extraordinary lodgings, and 'Northern Lights – Bjorkliden & Abisko', which travels to one of the best locations in the world for watching nature's fabulous light show.
