Its high vaulted ceilings, teak flooring, Persian carpets, attractive oak staircase, fine furnishings and fixtures make Coombe Farm a real joy to stay in.  Add to this the private courtyard, the outdoor dining area with table, chairs and barbeques, the pool and the twelve seat cinema with projector and surround sound, and you have the perfect pad for friends and family.

As well as an entertainment package in the main living room, which features a large flatscreen TV with full Sky package, Blu-ray player, CD player, radio, Xbox 360 games console and iPod docking station, the proximity of the barn to the sea and Dartmoor means you’ll never be lost for things to do.  Whether it’s surfing at Batham, exploring valleys or climbing nearby tors, there’s plenty to keep you occupied. 

The land surrounding the barn itself is home to a small flock of Grey Faced Dartmoor sheep and a herd of Devon Ruby Red and Belted Galloway cows.  There’s also a newly planted 150 tree cider orchard and a new 6,400 vine vineyard, making this a real joy to explore.

The barn itself has been finished to an exceptionally high level with a generous living room on the first floor crowned with vaulted oak beams.  Here you’ll find original works of art, an open wood burning fireplace, two large sofas with matching armchairs, a large coffee table and side tables with lamps.

This room leads on to the large dining room with an open fireplace, seating for twelve, views of the lower gardens and access to the upper gardens via French doors. 

The exceptionally well equipped and finished kitchen lies beyond, providing the perfect place to prepare family feasts of epic proportions, aided by the double-sized professional gas cooker.  

Nothing here is done by halves and the chic Italian designer kitchen with a granite-topped breakfast bar and seating for six is a reminder of this. Add to this the large American fridge freezer, ice maker, wine chiller, microwave, double sink and dishwasher, blender, cafetiere, coffee machine, toaster and host of utensils, and you could easily imagine yourself on the set of Masterchef or prepping for the Great British Bake Off.

The six en-suite bedrooms are each generous, chic and swish, and it’s hard to say which is best.

Bedroom one is vast, as is its en-suite bathroom.  It features a stylish king-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, mirror, free standing wardrobe, chest of drawers and armchair. 

Bedroom two is a fabulous room with a king-size bed, vaulted, beamed ceilings and a huge balcony with French windows that open on the pretty courtyard and rural views beyond.  

Bedrooms three and four are both spacious and have twin beds. 

Bedroom five and six are in their own separate annexe and share the en-suite bathroom, making them perfect for parents with young children. 

Bedroom five, which is truly enormous, has floor to ceiling windows at one end as well as access to the gardens along its length through French doors.  It has a king-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, a mirror, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a sofa. Next door, through the en-suite, is bedroom six which also has access to the garden through French doors and comes with twin beds.  All bedrooms come with flatscreen TVs and Freesat.
