Have your or your destination or clients been thinking about your own podcast? How can a podcast benefit you? What should you consider before producing or commissioning one? What equipment and software do you need, if in-house?
This Friday 17th June, the British Guild of Travel Writers is hosting two webinars with Q&As about travel podcasting. From 12.45pm-1.45pm, travel journalist, host of the Travel Goals Podcast, and head of podcasting at audio production company South Girl Production Music Portia Jones, will present an Introduction to Podcasting, which will outline all you need to know before staring a podcast, from audience, format and planning to equipment and software.

This will be followed by a panel discussion from 2pm-3pm in which five experienced podcasters will talk about the benefits of well-produced, engaing audio to destinations, travel companies and brands, and discuss the potential of this growing medium to attract attract visitors with evergreen content via the voices of locals and capivating soundscapes.

The second panel will feature BBC broadcaster, podcaster and travel writer Jon Holmes; travel journalist, host of Armchair Explorer and founder of Armchair Production, Aaron Miller; Travel Goals podcast host Portia Jones; founder and writer of drinks blog, A Lush Life Manual and host of Lush Life Podcast, Susan Schwartz; and presenter, podcaster and travel journalist Antonia Windsor.
