BGTW Member Bella Falk Wins at Travel Media Awards

Travel Begins at 40

The Guild's Bella Falk won at the prestigious Travel Media Awards night for her stunning photography.

Bella is a travel photographer and writer with a multiple-award-winning travel blog, Passport & Pixels, and bylines in Lonely Planet and BBC Travel among others.

Entirely self-taught, Bella first picked up a camera at the age of about 10 and has been snapping away ever since. Four years ago she was inspired to start her blog, which features stunning photography and stories from places as far afield as Antarctica, Morocco and Uganda.

With a sharp eye for a shot, a love of adventure, wildlife and colourful characters, and the determination to lug kit to the end of the Earth, Bella won't hesitate to grab her gear and jump on a plane at a moment's notice (when it's allowed, of course!). Currently trapped at home in London, she's itching to travel again and make new contacts with travel companies, destinations, editors and publishers who might be interested in her work.

Outside of travel writing and photography Bella also produces and directs history, archaeology and science documentaries for all the main broadcasters including the BBC and Channel 4. Right now she's working on a 2-part series about the Ancient Maya for Discovery Science and is currently setting up a month-long shoot in Central America in March, despite all the challenges the pandemic and lockdown keep chucking her way.

Bella can be reached though her blog Passport & Pixels, on her website, or on Twitter @passportandpix and Instagram @passportandpixels.
