Best of Britain & Ireland

Best of Britain & Ireland 2009 and Travel Trade Forum, the industry leading two-day trade and two-day consumer event celebrating the best of holidaying in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, has signed a deal with the BBC Magazines portfolio, to be a major media partner for the consumer days of the show.

The consumer weekend days take place at Londons ExCel on 28 and 29 March and will bring to life the holiday experience in Britain and Ireland with a host of interactive displays, exhibitions, live performances and demonstrations showcasing the best of British holidays and tourism experiences from all areas of the country.

The relationship with the BBC magazines runs across seven of its magazine titles: Gardeners World, Homes & Antiques, BBC Music, BBC Wildlife, Gardens Illustrated, Countryfile and BBC History magazine and will include a range of promotional advertising and activities.

Organised in partnership with national tourism agency, VisitBritain, Best of Britain & Ireland will be divided into dynamic themes such as Luxury, Coastal, Flavours, Heritage, Countryside and Active Britain & Ireland. The selected magazine titles from the portfolio complement these themes perfectly.

Rob Mackenzie, Managing Director of Best of Britain & Ireland, commented: Its fantastic to have such major support for Best of Britain & Ireland. The relationship with BBC Magazines brings with it great credibility and the wide scope of the portfolio means that their subject matter and focus sit very well with the feature areas that we have put together.

Paula Al-Lach, Head of Exhibitions and Events, BBC Magazines, added: The concept of the Best of Britain & Ireland event is really exciting and one that we think will strike a real chord with the readers of our magazine portfolio.
