Enjoy a master class in caffeine appreciation at the brand-new Coffee Experience at The Montague on the Gardens. The luxury central London-based hotel has teamed up with Illy® Coffee to create an educational afternoon of beans and brews that everyone from budding coffee connoisseurs to the most seasoned java enthusiast will want to try. 

At the “Coffee Station” guests are invited to choose two types of coffee bean from a bespoke selection of Illy's finest roasts, then decide which of three brewing technique they want to use. The Montague's team of coffee experts explains how each coffee bean and brewing technique produces different tastes and aromas while walking guests step by step through the process of creating the perfect cup. At the end, guests pause to enjoy the fruits of their labor – a super-tasty cup of “joe!” The setting for the Coffee Station is the Montague's outdoor Wood Deck, which overlooks the beautiful private gardens of the Bedford Estate and is the perfect place to enjoy London's spring sunny spells and warmer days.

The Coffee Experience at The Montague also features a selection of sweet and savory food platters specifically designed to complement the flavors of the different coffee beans and brewing techniques. The trio of mini sweet treats includes coffee macaroons, macadamia chocolate brownies, and the hotel's signature baked cheesecake. Savory snacks include macaroni and cheese, mini cheeseburgers and bobotie spring rolls, a South African specialty. 

The Coffee Experience builds on the success of the hotel's other annual pop-ups, which include the Montague Ski Lodge, running throughout the winter, and the Beach Bar, which opened for the first time last summer. 

The Coffee Experience is priced from $35 per person, and will be available seven days a week from 2:00pm – 5:00pm through the end of April 2017. To avoid disappointment, advance booking is highly recommended. Please call +44 20 7612 8416.
