The cocktail begins as a classic martini made with Russian Imperia Vodka, stirred with dry Vermouth, and finished with an orange crisp garnish and violet sugar rim. A small silver cup is then removed from the glass, allowing an ice infusion of nutmeg, clove and cinnamon to seep through the classic Martini, changing the taste from dry to sweet and turning the cocktail from clear to a dark shade of purple within minutes. Served in Hommage Comète glasses, the classic geometry and cut glass refract light to highlight the changing colour of the cocktail.
Restaurant Director Loyd Loudy commented, "CUT attracts a big crowd for Thanksgiving, both ex-pat Americans and other Londoners joining in the festivities. This year the new cocktail will add a twist to executive chef David McIntyre's popular Thanksgiving menu."
CUT's Thanksgiving night menu will offer staples such as pumpkin soup, roasted turkey, sides such as roasted chestnuts, roasted squash, Red Jewell sweet potato gratin with toasted pecans, and puddings such as Bourbon Pecan Pie.
Thanksgiving Cocktail available from 1 November, priced at £16. Three course Thanksgiving Dinner is offered at CUT at 45 Park Lane on 28 November only from £90 per person excluding discretionary service charge.
