Banyan Tree Targets Key Markets In Europe And Japan

Banyan Group

In an effort to reach its key consumers more directly, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts has added French, German and Japanese sites to its reconstructed website www.banyantree.com, which was boosted with real-time reservations powered by hotelBANK, FLASH animation and great value holiday Hot Deals in March this year. Consumers in these countries only need to log on to www.banyantree.com to enter and select the language site of their choice, obtain information on Banyan Tree resorts and our affiliate brands, make their reservations through hotelBANK (and get instant confirmation) or through an online request form, with confirmation via email, and arrange their treatments/appointments at our Banyan Tree Spas.

By adding these foreign language sites, we will be reaching our to our other key markets, and adding greater value for our French-, German-, and Japanese-speaking site visitors, enhancing and broadening the dimensions of their armchair travel experiences, said Ms Cheok Bee Ling, eBusiness Director for Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. In competitive times like these , it is imperative that we try to reach our end consumers directly in the fastest way. What could be faster than the Internet and more direct than talking to them in their own languages?

The site has recently added interactive elements such as wallpapers and, soon to come, screen savers consisting of images of the various Banyan Tree resorts. Video clips and a photo gallery in each dedicated resort site have also been added to help consumers visualize the settings of each resort and build their anticipation of the Banyan Tree experience. Plans are under way to develop Spanish and Korean local sites, and to engage the consumers imagination with more interactive features.

The re-constructed banyantree.com collects all the Banyan Tree resorts and affiliate brands under one umbrella, giving consumers more choices of accommodation and instant booking confirmation. Each resort site boasts over 25 pages of information pertinent to travelers, photographs, destination guides and pop-up windows with detailed facilities, location maps and printer-friendly floor plans. Organized into easily navigable links to the various affiliate brands and special interest micro sites accessible via hot buttons on the homepage, the site has been re-constructed to give consumers faster, and more direct, access to the information they need. To relive the Banyan Tree experience of romantic and exotic sensuality, consumers simply have to log on to www.banyantree.com.
