Bangkok, Thailand (May 15, 2014) – Backyard Travel, the online boutique travel agency specializing in unique and insider tours to Asia, has just revealed details of a new Vietnam tour giving travelers the chance to explore the stunning and relatively undiscovered, Bai Tu Long Bay.
The three-day, two-night tour takes travelers to this spectacular region of Vietnam on board a beautiful Vietnamese wooden junk. Travellers can explore the amazing limestone islands, hidden lagoons and mysterious caves in one of Vietnam's most beautiful bays.
The tour starts with a wonderful seafood lunch, served to travellers whilst the small traditional junk cruises to Bai Tu Long Bay, whose emerald waters contain thousands of stunning limestone rock formations. Bai Tu Long Bay is situated to the north of Ha Long Bay and is more off the beaten track and quieter than its more famous neighbour.
As well as exploring the different islands from on board the junk, it's possible for travellers to get a closer up look of the amazing limestone rocks, by taking a dip in the warm waters, or taking out the junk's own kayak. The tour also includes a rowing trip out to a unique floating fishing village, where travellers can learn all about local life. On the final day, the relaxing tour finishes with a visit to see amazing stalactites and stalagmites in the spectacular Thien Canh Son Caves.
“Very few places can match the majesty and natural beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay” said Backyard Travel's General Manager Maeve Nolan. “Exploring this sublime region on board a beautiful Vietnamese junk, makes for a very special vacation.”
