08 September 2020: The World Spa Awards - a global initiative to recognise and reward excellence in the spa and wellness sector – has opened voting for its 2020 edition.  Amongst the nominees are the world-class Bellevue Spa Clinic on Croatia's island of Lošinj; international health resort Chiva-Som and its acclaimed Niranlada Medi Spa in Thailand; The Datai Langkawi's rainforest-inspired Datai Spa in Malaysia; and Zulal Wellness Resort in Qatar, slated to open December 2020.

The World Spa Awards aim to drive up standards in spa and wellness tourism and foster growth by rewarding the leading organisations in their respective fields.  Award categories cover the entire spectrum of the spa and wellness industry, ranging from hotel spas, detox programmes and aromatherapy brands to wellness apps, spa destinations and wellness retreats. Voting is now open online to the public and closes at midnight on 30 September 2020.
