Fine Time Sardinia, launched at WTM 2018 London, is a new initiative created by Confindustria Centro Nord Sardinia. This marketing initiative involves a combination of 8 uniquely different, privately owned/managed, four star luxury hotels as well as local mineral water, cheese, wine, liqueur and olive oil production companies. A website will be launched with their new branding at the end of the year along with an online training program with OTT and fam trip dates for the travel trade taking place in Spring 2019. The total project investment is £600,000 and will be completed by March 2020.
The aim of the project from the hotelier’s perspective is to introduce the hotel partners to the UK market through the media and to work more closely with travel agents, homeworkers and MICE specialists to generate business to the properties for short breaks, annual vacations, spa, golf, diving or gastronomy breaks, weddings and honeymoons, meetings and incentives, primarily from April to October each year with the exception of the THotel in Cagliari open year round. “We are delighted to be able to showcase our region as a whole with such like-minded hoteliers all striving to offer compatible and yet very different luxury travel experiences to our guests”, commented Tullio Datome of Gabbiano Azzurro Hotel & Suites at WTM 2018, London. Confindustria manages the coherence and internal dynamics of the partners with CCIA, the project leader (Chamber of Commerce of Sassari). The Chamber of Commerce of Sassari has supported the development of trade and business initiative in the area since 1862. It is the project leader for “ Fine Time Sardinia” and its involvement represents the support of public institutions towards this initiative. “We anticipate that the Fine Time Sardinia project will bring new media and trade relationships to all of the partners to allow them to diversify their client base and refine their client mix”, added Dr Giansimone Masia of Confidustria, “Based on the success of the campaign we hope to roll out similar projects for other groups of hoteliers and products from the region”. He concluded.
