In February 2015, Cancer Research UK reported that around 50% of those born after 1960 were likely to experience cancer at some point in their lives.  Working with the non-profit educational foundation, Wellness for Cancer™, a new collection of nurturing face and body rituals underpinned by an extensive training programme will be made available to select ESPA spa partners around the world who meet the required criteria.

ESPA NURTURE & SUPPORT
ESPA Nurture & Support presents four face and body experiences to help relax, nurture and support guests at a time when they need it most.  Additional to these core experiences are two enhancements, focussing on the hands or feet as well as breath-work and meditation, for the further comfort of guests.

Available only at the most advanced ESPA Life and ESPA spa partner properties, the ESPA Nurture & Support programme involves in-depth therapist training and assessment over seven days, incorporating two days by Wellness for Cancer™ and five days by the ESPA Training Academy.

With the overarching emphasis on holistic wellbeing, the Nurture & Support experiences ultimately help to aid the reduction of stress and anxiety while promoting inner calm.  Beginning with an initial consultation, these gentle rituals use only specially selected, suitable products.  Guests are initially guided through breath-work and visualisation exercises to steady their breathing, create a sense of calm and ground them in the present moment – ensuring they get the most out of their experience.  Crystals are also used – positioned on the relevant chakras, to help balance the mind, while the placement of the Red Jasper crystal in each hand helps remove negative energies, restore emotional equilibrium and provide a strong sense of stability.

Be Nurtured Facial (60 minutes) £125
A relaxing, rebalancing and deeply nourishing facial combining advanced skin assessment, personalised facial massage and a bespoke selection of naturally advanced skincare.

Be Nurtured Massage (60 minutes) £140
A personalised massage concentrating on areas of concern to gently soothe tense muscles, relax the mind, boost spirits and help restore balance to the body – while gentle yet rich oils leave skin feeling nourished.

Be Nurtured Energy Balancer (90 minutes) £190
A profoundly relaxing and indulgent massage to rebalance the body, hydrate the skin and calm the mind, incorporating long, warming strokes to ease tension, a gentle yet rich body oil to nourish and expertly selected crystals to effectively restore serenity.

Be Nurtured Back, Face & Scalp (90 minutes) £190
An adaptation of our most renowned ritual to soothe both mind and body.  Relaxing and gently effective, the experience addresses the main areas of tension – the back, the face and the scalp – with a nurturing massage to help alleviate stress.

Be Nurtured Hand and Foot Massage (30 minutes) £65
A relaxing hand or foot massage using oils to nurture the skin and release tension. 

Be Nurtured Breathing & Meditation (60 or 90 minutes) from £120
Drawing from the ancient practices of Pranayama and Yoga Nidra, this experience aims at training busy minds to master conscious relaxation.  It dissipates and prevents physical, mental and emotional tensions and consequently has a highly restorative effect on the entire body. During the practice of Yoga Nidra, one feels as if in deep sleep however the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness.  In this state of deep relaxation, the mind becomes exceptionally receptive to positive suggestions and intentions.  The practice is instrumental in driving positive life changes, breaking habits and learning new things.
