Award Winning Country House Hotel The Horn Of Plenty Unveils Six Additional Luxury Rooms With Spectacular Views

The Horn of Plenty

Country house hotel The Horn of Plenty has six special reasons to celebrate this summer as it welcomes guests to six new gorgeous rooms which have been built as an extension to its Garden Wing. www.thehornofplenty.co.uk

The new rooms are the result of an investment in the hotel by its owners Julie Leivers and Damien Pease who have extended the stable block, adding six new spacious bedrooms furnished with super-plush Harlequin fabrics and contemporary furnishings. Colours have been carefully selected to compliment the stunning views. The bathrooms are large and luxurious with standalone baths, exhilarating Matki showers and a range of Duck Island toiletries.

Most of the rooms have balconies which afford stunning views over the walled gardens and the Devonshire countryside. The hotel itself is tucked away in five acres of gardens overlooking the Tamar Valley, a designated area of natural beauty (AONB). Close to Tavistock, it is the perfect bolthole from which to explore coast and countryside with Dartmoor on the doorstep, and Plymouth and Cornwall in easy reach.

The combination of the Devonshire countryside alongside the warm hospitality and superb fine dining restaurant has made the hotel increasingly popular with those looking for a romantic getaway, a luxury foodie break or a special place to host a wedding.

Julie Leivers comments, “The new rooms are very much part of the vision we have for the hotel and its future.  Since buying the hotel four years ago we have seen a huge increase in short breaks.  This place  is very popular with couples who want to take a  break away from the humdrum of everyday life, or steal a few days away from the rest of the family! They come to The Horn of Plenty to enjoy our divine food and then relax in a room that will make them feel pampered and special, at the same time enjoying heavenly views from their bedroom window or balcony.”

As well as the six new contemporary rooms and six existing garden rooms, the hotel also offers four country-chic rooms located in the Main House which are perfect for guests who want to experience the feel of a Victorian country house, but with all the mod cons you'd expect from a luxury hotel.

The new garden rooms range in price from £155 in low season to £225 in high season for B & B, based on two people sharing.  Prices include breakfast and VAT. Guests wishing to include dinner can upgrade for £35 per person

The hotel has won a host of awards, most recently a Double Gold Award from Taste of the West reflecting the excellence to be found in its two AA rosette restaurant and also its accommodation.
