From contemporary art, thrilling horse trials and Halloween activities to incredible fireworks and fascinating flora and fauna there's a dazzling array of special autumnal events and activities on offer at Blenheim Palace to keep you fully entertained as the nights draw in.

Harvest Dinner with Mark Hix, Orangery Supper Club: September 12

Chef, restaurateur and food writer Mark Hix MBE is known for his original take on British gastronomy. Passionate about using British seasonal foods, Hix published his cookbook 'British Seasonal Foods', which shows home-grown ingredients at their seasonal best.Set against the backdrop of His Grace, 12th Duke of Marlborough's private Italian Garden, visitor can enjoy a three-course dinner designed by Hix and inspired by his new recipes. Before dinner, enjoy an English sparkling wine canapé reception on the Orangery Terrace or arrive early to explore the beautiful Formal Gardens at Blenheim Palace.


Maurizio Cattelan at Blenheim Palace: September 12 – October 27


This autumn, Blenheim Palace will welcome iconic artworks by famed Italian Conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan throughout its interiors, engaging with the site's recent history and unique setting. This is Cattelan's first solo exhibition in the UK in twenty years and will feature new works displayed for the first time in this exhibition.

Admired for his satirical sense of humour often conveyed through hyperrealistic sculpture, Cattelan will be the sixth artist to present a solo exhibition at Blenheim Palace, following Ai Weiwei, Lawrence Weiner, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Jenny Holzer and Yves Klein.
Works on display will include America, a solid 18-Karat gold toilet which will be installed inside the Palace, adjacent to Sir Winston Churchill's birthroom, for the duration of the exhibition. As a functional artwork, visitors will be invited to use it during their visit.

SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials: September 19 – 22


Returning for its 29th year, the SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials are a must for any eventing enthusiast. The competition is now firmly established in the eventing calendar, attracting the World's best riders and thousands of spectators who come each year to watch the five-day event. The first two days of the event will consist of Dressage competitions, with the weekend hosting Cross Country and Show Jumping.
There can't be a sporting event with a more spectacular setting with the Palace itself forming the backdrop to all the action for a great day out with family and friends! There is much to do on all days in addition to the showcase eventing classes, such as complimentary displays and demonstrations, enhanced children's activities and of course a plethora of shops, food outlets, bars and entertainment.

Chocolate Dinner with William Curley, Orangery Supper Club: October 25


World-renowned chocolatier William Curley has won the Academy of Chocolate's 'Britain's best Chocolatier' award four times. Supplying some of the world's greatest restaurants, hotels and food halls, Curley lives, breathes and eats chocolate.
Visitors can enjoy a three-course dinner inspired and cooked by Curley with a tutored tasting of chocolate truffles and other cocoa-based treats. Whet your appetite for Curley's creations with a Champagne reception and delicious savoury canapés.

Half Term Halloween Family Fun: October 26 – November 3


Discover a whole host of haunted Halloween entertainment at Blenheim Palace this autumn. From train rides through a terribly terrifying tunnel and Frightful Fire performances in the Great court to Spooky Stories in the Cinema, a Silly Scarecrow Trail for small children and Spine-Chilling Statues who have come to life inside the Palace there are thrills and shrieks for all the family to enjoy. Plus, don't miss an after-dark Spooky Tour of the Palace on 31 October.

Lasers, Lights and Fireworks at Blenheim Palace: November 1


This autumn visitors can immerse themselves in a new laser and lighting show in the Great Courtyard, set to music from Star Wars 'Deep Space and Beyond'. Experience the warmth of an incredible 10m fire sculpture, before enjoying a spectacular firework finale. Limited tickets are available.

Autumn Watch: September – November


Discover the wonderful wildlife of Blenheim Palace as you enjoy one of the many Parkland walks on offer. With seasonal flora and fauna including, cedars of Lebanon, ancient oaks, copper beech, birch and poplars. Watch out for native wildlife roaming around the UNESCO World Heritage Site; from ramblers to toddlers make sure to explore the vivid, russet coloured estate in full autumnal splendour.
