Autumn at Mandarin Boutique Hotel - the perfect time for exploring and relaxing

There is never a bad time to visit Mandarin Boutique Hotel, as each season has its own appeal in this picturesque corner of south-west Turkey, but September and October are particularly appealing for those who enjoy a holiday full of variety: the days are still warm enough to spend lazy afternoons relaxing in the tranquil surroundings of our swimming pool and gardens, or on some of the unspoilt beaches nearby, and the sea is delightful, having had all summer to warm up. At the same time, it is not too hot for more active pursuits, whether you enjoy hiking in the rural countryside all around Mandarin, or exploring the region by car in order to take in some of the many ancient sites that lie within easy striking distance.

Even in November, when much of northern Europe and North America start to feel increasingly gloomy, we usually enjoy mild temperatures and many sunny days here in Faralya, but with most of the hotels in the larger beach resorts having closed down for the season, you\'ll be able to enjoy the region\'s archaeological sites without any sign of the holiday crowds. Of course, the days are shorter and the evenings a little cooler in late autumn, but as most of our luxurious guestrooms are equipped with handsome stone fireplaces, this only enhances the romantic appeal of our rural retreat, as you can snuggle up with your loved one in front of a log fire and reflect on the discoveries of the day.

Whilst some dates in September and October are nearly fully booked, we still have some availability for most of the autumn. Please call us on  (0090) 252 642 1002 or email us to discuss availability, or visit www.villamandarin.com to make your reservation..

Special Interest Weeks: some spaces remaining on our October Walking Weeks and Turkish Triangle, or book ahead for 2014

If you enjoy discovering some of the hidden treasures of your chosen travel destination in a small group of likeminded travellers, our Special Interest Weeks are well worth considering. Our popular Walking Weeks are perfect for nature lovers, as we explore the gloriously unspoilt countryside around Mandarin on foot, but you will also gain an insight into Turkish culture and heritage, as we venture further afield to the deserted ghost village of Kaya, for instance, and to the ancient hilltop site of Kadyanda. We still have spaces on our autumn Walking Weeks starting on 7 October and 14 October, at just 110 euro per person on top of the cost of your stay at Mandarin.

If you prefer to plan further ahead, we are already taking bookings for our Walking Weeks in April, May and October of 2014, as well as for our special Photography and Cuisine Weeks. And if you would like to see other regions of Turkey, why not join our Turkish Triangle tour on 26 September, which combines a stay at Mandarin with a visit to the bustling metropolis of Istanbul and a few days exploring the fascinating landscapes and unique underground cities of Cappadocia.
