There's still time for a quick Andalusian Autumnal getaway – and with low season prices and a further 15% off standard rates, now is the perfect time to visit DDG Retreat.
Towering high above the Med and perched atop the pretty white 'sugar cube' village of Casares, this beautiful boutique bolthole https://ddgretreat.com/ is located in an area known for its warm and temperate climate, enjoying generally mild weather during the month of October.
DDG Retreat – a luxury adults-only hideaway – sits amidst the spectacular backdrop of the rugged Bermeja mountains and within the Sierra Crestellina National Park, where its 478 hectares offers more than 200km of public footpaths, making an ideal escape for couples wanting to combine a romantic getaway with rambles along stunning rural paths, taking in the many breath-taking views along the way. This is a place where late season visitors can really connect with Nature.
Watch rare Griffon vultures, some with wing spans of almost 3m, gliding above the deep gorges and pine ridges, and spot hard-to-find tree species camouflaged amongst lush greenery. A walk up to the nearby Arab-Moorish Castle will reward you with a bird's eye perspective; follow sign-posted paths through to the forests of the Sierra or walk down the river valley to Manilva. Drop back down to the coast, just a short drive away, and enjoy the beaches at a time of year when you're unlikely to come across crowds. Take advantage of the lighter traffic volumes and more ambient temperatures to explore some of the many wonderful sights of Andalusia, and as most local restaurants are still open during October, you can usually get away with a more relaxed approach to booking ahead.
October is the perfect month to check out DDG Retreat's stunning super-suites https://ddgretreat.com/accommodation/ which, having launched only in July, are new for this season. With interiors designed to wow and finished to a high standard - with marble floors, chandeliers and original artefacts - they are ultra-luxurious and are already making a very positive impression with guests. Each of the three suites available also come with generous outdoor terraces and their own hot tub or plunge pool offering maximum privacy. For the ultimate in romance, peace and tranquility, pour of glass of something chilled, soak in your outdoor bath, take an alfresco shower or just lie on your double day-bed, watching the spectacular sunsets and gazing at the stars overhead. The Retreat's infinity pool is inviting and heated during the Autumn; if you're feeling energetic there's a tennis court and gym (with sauna and hammam); and if you're feeling like being pampered, there's a spa cabanah hidden in the trees for those indulgent treatments.
And with off-season tariffs, cheaper flights, lower car hire prices, plus, as an added treat, 15% off DDG Retreat's accommodation, Autumn is the ideal time to visit Andalusia and immerse yourself in the DDG Retreat experience. Lead-in sample prices for four nights in October with 15% off, are based on two sharing Casa Pino on an accommodation-only basis and work out at 502 Euros per person (a saving of 176 euros per couple off the standard low-season rate). There are no minimum night stay requirements and for further information on prices see https://ddgretreat.com/rates/
