Nightly Complimentary Ghost Tours

When a hotel is as storied as the Algonquin, guests often say, “if these walls could only talk.”  Well, sometimes they do…sort of.  The Algonquin Resort offers complimentary nightly ghost tours for anyone brave enough to walk the back halls.  Just inquire at the front desk and follow the bellman.  Guests are encouraged to give him a gentle pinch before embarking on the trip.  Here's why:

The Bellman
During past winters, the hotel only opened the Prince of Wales wing.  People would check in and go to the elevator to find the new wing their room.

Sometimes, the guests were met in the elevator by a kind bellman who would assist them to their room, telling them all about St. Andrews' and the hotel's history.  The people would be so impressed with the bellman that, they would go to the front desk and would want to leave a thank you for the bellman.  The first time this happened, the front desk agent questioned the guest knowing that there was no bellman working nights in the winter.  After this happened a few times, they would just promise to pass along the guest's thanks, rather than trying to explain about the ghost bellman.

The Algonquin Resort is located at 181 Adolphus St. in the picturesque seaside town of Saint Andrews, New Brunswick.  For additional information about special events, or reservations, please visit www.Algonquinresort.com or call 855-529-8633.
