San Francisco and Yosemite, CA, September 12, 2018 — AutoCamp, a modern and stylish outdoor hotel experience that makes connecting with the great outdoors easy for everyone, today announced the company has broken ground for its newest property near California's Yosemite National Park. AutoCamp (https://bit.ly/2KZ9VX8) will continue to partner with Ohio-based Airstream, Inc. (https://bit.ly/2aKkdJ0) as it begins its national expansion. The AutoCamp team also announced a fire relief program.
With booking open, AutoCamp fans and Airstream enthusiasts are flocking to the website, and summer 2019 is filling up quickly with some dates already almost sold out. In response to the devastating Ferguson fire, AutoCamp will donate $25 for each reservation booked until November 1, 2018. The money will go to the Yosemite/Sequoia Resource Conservation and Development Council to support fire prevention and ecological conservation in the area affected by the fire.
Reservations for AutoCamp Yosemite can be made at www.AutoCamp.com and the property will open and welcoming guests in early 2019. AutoCamp is also in contract to purchase additional properties in California and the western US, as well as several East Coast locations near major metropolitan areas.
“Capitalizing on the success of our Santa Barbara and Russian River properties, we are embarking on our most exciting project to date,” said Neil Dipaola, CEO and Co-Founder of AutoCamp. “We have assembled a talented and creative team of architects, designers and hospitality executives to further highlight the beauty of the property and make AutoCamp Yosemite a truly distinct and thoughtful guest experience.”
AutoCamp has redefined alternative lodging by blending the traditional outdoor experience with the service and design of a boutique hotel. Santa Barbara–based architecture firm, Anacapa and San Francisco's Geremia Design, the team behind AutoCamp Russian River, once again joined forces to create an unparalleled lodging experience in Yosemite.
Nestled on 35 acres in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the property will feature a 4,000 square foot clubhouse with reception, meeting space, indoor/outdoor lounge areas, and a curated marketplace offering artisanal food and beverages. The clubhouse includes a scenic roof deck, perfect for stargazing, and an outdoor swimming pool. Accommodations include 15 luxury tents, three cabin suites and 80 deluxe Airstream trailers — custom designed by Anacapa and built in the USA by Airstream, Inc. Five ADA suites are designed by Los Angeles's M-Rad Architecture.
With the iconic Airstream as starting point, the Anacapa team looked to modernist masterpieces for inspiration. The resulting clean, rectilinear planes of the clubhouse complement the
surrounding landscape and set the tone for the polished rural retreat. For the interiors,Geremia Design took cues for the material palate from the spectacular environs, mixing sophisticated contemporary lines with rough-hewn materials. Large-scale, low-slung seating areas with fire pits are skillfully situated throughout the clubhouse, showcasing striking views of the natural surroundings and encouraging a communal experience that honors the spirit and tradition of camping.
AutoCamp Yosemite is the first property within the AutoCamp family with a pool, hot tub, and fresh water pond. There are hiking trails nearby, and an on-site shuttle stop for easy access to Yosemite National Park, operated daily by YARTS (https://bit.ly/2mjrWk6).
Groups can purchase full buyouts of the property and have exclusive use of the clubhouse and meeting space. Nightly rates start at $225/night for the Airstreams and luxury tents.
Yosemite National Park has always been an ideal destination for AutoCamp, due to its outdoor attractions like Half Dome & Yosemite Valley, rich history with environmental pioneers like John Muir, and relative proximity to the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to the park, guests can also explore the charming town of Mariposa, replete with its own rich history, strong local community, and many delicious restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops.
