Home Valley Station in far north-western Australia's spectacular East Kimberley offers an authentic outback experience where guests can enjoy genuine Australian hospitality while discovering the unique landscapes, adventure activities and indigenous culture of the Kimberley. The heritage cattle station has just reopened for its 2016 season, following its annual hiatus over the wet months.
Located on the iconic Gibb River Road, at the foot of the majestic Cockburn Range, Home Valley Station is the ideal base from which to explore the East Kimberley's pristine wilderness. Guests can try their hand at a range of adventurous pursuits including hiking, swimming in pools surrounded by ancient red gorges, heli-fishing, horse riding, boating, star gazing, nature and crocodile spotting and barramundi fishing on the mighty Pentecost River.
“We are delighted to be welcoming guests for our 2016 season. Home Valley Station offers warm hospitality amongst the Kimberley's breathtaking landscapes and there has never been a better time for international visitors to enjoy this quintessentially Australian outback experience,” says Andrew Williams, Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia's Chief Executive Officer.
