Australia's South West takes away two gold medals and one bronze at the 2017 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards
 

The Australia's South West team and board are proud to announce that a total of two gold medals and one bronze medal were awarded to Australia's South West tourism operators at the 2017 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, held at Perth Stadium on the 23rd of February.
 
Big congratulations to The Beach House at Bayside for walking away with a gold medal for Hosted Accommodation; Swan River Seaplanes for being awarded gold under the New Tourism Business category; and Sightseeing Pass Australia, which received a bronze medal for Specialised Tourism Services.
 
“I am absolutely thrilled at the successes of these vital tourism operators,” Australia's South West Chief Executive Officer Catrin Allsop says. “Because of operators like The Beach House at Bayside, Swan River Seaplanes and Sightseeing Pass Australia, the South West remains a destination of choice. I'd like to sincerely congratulate all of the Tourism Awards entrants, with a special congratulations to those who have won an award tonight.”
 
Joining the winning medallists at the 2017 Awards were fellow Australia's South West finalists Balingup Heights Hilltop Forest Cottages, Cape to Cape Explorer Tours, The Lake House Denmark and Walk into Luxury.
 
The finalists, who received gold in their categories at the 2017 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards in November last year, were up against tough competition at the 2017 Australian Tourism Awards, which is recognised as the Australian tourism industry's peak event.
